Paul Brion, M.D.

Dr. Brion enjoys providing personalized care to all of his patients. At ACNC, we prefer to spend time with our patients on their first visit to ensure we understand their medical condition, their concerns, and to formulate a plan of care. Many of our patients have chronic conditions which allows us to build long term, personal relationships.

Dr. Brion has over 20 years of experience in rheumatology. Dr. Brion was awarded “Top Doctor of San Diego” , 13 of the last 15 years by San Diego Magazine.  

Doctor Brion specializes in  rheumatoid arthritis,  psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, osteoarthritis,  osteoporosis, and systemic lupus.

Dr. Brion completed his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University. He completed medical school at  Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, formerly New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Brion ventured to Los Angeles to complete a residency in Internal Medicine before beginning his  Rheumatology Fellowship at UCLA.  

Dr. Brion worked at UCLA as an Assistant Professor. During his time at UCLA, he published several scientific papers and coauthored several medical book chapters . Dr. Brion was the head of rheumatology at UCLA Santa Monica Hospital. He moved to San Diego in 2002 to be near family.  

Dr. Brion is board certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and is a member of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR). 

His interests include hiking, history, languages, weight lifting, pickleball, and road biking. He proudly completed 2 marathons, multiple half marathons, multiple century rides, and a half ironman. 

When he isn’t  working,  Dr. Brion enjoys spending time with his wife, a local pediatrician, and their three children and two dogs.

 

Etleva Bejko, M.D.

Dr. Bejko is practicing what she had always aspired to be. She is a compassionate doctor who cares for her patients and dedicates her time in and outside the clinic to better personalize their treatment, while following evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. She is a member of American College of Rheumatology (ACR), American Medical Association (AMA), an active member of rheumatology groups in social media platforms, and an avid reader of the latest published research/studies and most prominent Internal Medicine and Rheumatology Journals.

Dr. Bejko is a board certified Rheumatologist specialized in rheumatic diseases including, Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Scleroderma, vasculitis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), gout, pseudo-gout, ankylosing spondylitis (AS), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), dermatomyositis, polymyositis, autoinflammatory diseases, osteoarthritis, bone metabolic diseases and others.

Dr. Bejko graduated from University of Tirana Faculty of Medicine in 2006. She finished her Internal Medicine Residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland OH and her Rheumatology Fellowship at University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center. During her accreditation, Dr. Bejko interned at Tirana Hospital Emergency Care Unit. In US she was actively engaged with Virtual Foundation, a non-profit organization caring for burnt and domestic abuse victims in underprivileged communities.

She has more than 20 years of academic and clinical experience in medicine with sharp focus in Rheumatology. She has published peer-reviewed research papers and abstracts in prominent medical journals and medical conferences (SGIM, AACE). She hosts frequent presentations in her medical specialty with affiliated hospitals and interested groups.

Dr. Bejko is proud to have contributed as a caregiver to Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center, exclusively caring for veteran patients with many different ailments.

Dr. Bejko loves the beach and California weather. During warm weekends, she is busy kayaking in Mission Bay and making bonfire, other summer weekends she enjoys them at the beach under the Southern California sun with her husband and her young daughter. Hiking and biking are a year-round hobby of hers.
